A Zombie Cat's Best Friend

The zombie cats are a great contributing force behind the zombie apocalypse. Many zombie cats adopt zombies as a sort of perverse edible pet. If you risk getting close enough, you'll even see chewing marks on some of the zombies.

zombie 138 - Charli

This is Charli and she is so hungry she ate her own lips off.
I've bitten my lip while eating before, but this is a little extreme.

zombie 114 - Ninja

When I started painting +Andre Vandal 's cat Ninja I needed something to give it scale, hence the large brick/tiles in the background. This painting made me feel a little better about oil painting but I was still on the fence.

zombie 83 - Daniel

Another one from about a year ago ... this is ... or was ... +Daniel Fontaine
At the time I tore in to this while listening to Lamb of God and while overall I like how things turned out, especailly the eye and glasses, I still see things that I would like to change now.

Especailly those teeth ... they definitely need to be yellow, rotten and broken.

zombie 63 - the stare that scares

She's pleased to eat you ... let her ... taste your brain!
I have the rolling stones playing in my head right now ... can you guess the song?

Zombie 63 is none other than +Mary Zeman and while I did use the pen on this one, the paint was so much fun to lay down. I feel like I made some personal growth with the painting of her hair, as well as the tendons and muscles in her jaw.

zombie 59 is the Cheshire Cat

When I was asked to paint the Cheshire Cat for the 1000 zombies project ( thanks +Denise Morgan Kalicki ) I thought it would be awesome ... I started with the smile and then things changed quickly. It was all acrylics but eventually went to a bit of pen as well ... creepy ass cat is creepy.

zombie 48 - Tom

Less than an hour ago Tom went with his wife and child to the hospital for her scheduled
check up. The waiting room was filled with people coughing and wheezing, and
Tom kept his son close. Normally he would read a magazine and let his son play with
the toys provided by the hospital to keep kids calm, but not today.
It was a relief when they were called to the examination room, away from all the sick
people and their constant coughing.

About 15 minutes after waiting for the doctor to come, the screaming started, followed
by more screaming and then ... a gun shot.

Tom locked the door to the little room he and family were in and pushed the doctors
desk against it, then crouched down in the corner, covered his sons ears and listened
as more screaming and gun shots could be heard.

He looked at his wife, she was holding her cell phone and dialling 911, whispering
as loudly as she dared to the person on the other end. A suddne bang on the door
caused her to shriek, which caused who ever was on the other side of the door to start
pounding on it, trying to break in.

zombie 28 - Handsome Devil Cat

When the first zombies crashed through Becky ‘s window, her cat, affectionately known as the Handsome Devil Cat , tore in to them like a Tasmanian Devil.

It really wasn’t much of a fight ... the zombies didn’t stand a chance.

He eventually became a zomBcat though, because its never a good idea to bite a zombie.

Lesson learned.
